The Rental Promise
Renting iron online has a bad reputation. Here is exactly how we avoid it.
Surprise fees, machines that never show, breakdowns nobody answers and deposits that vanish are the complaints that follow equipment rental platforms around. Every one of those failures has a rule below, and the rules are built into the booking flow — not buried in fine print.
Locked, all-in quote
The number you approve is the number you pay.
Your quote shows rental, delivery (round trip) and the refundable deposit before you request dates. The 12% platform fee is already inside the rate you see — it is never added later. No fuel surcharge, environmental fee, admin fee or rental protection charge can be tacked on after approval. Extra days, fuel not replaced or damage are the only additions, and each one has to be itemised and agreed.
Photo check-out and check-in
Both sides document the machine before and after.
A pickup condition report (photos, hour meter, fuel level) is required before a rental can go out, and a return report is required before it closes. Both parties can see both reports, so damage and hour-meter disputes are settled with evidence instead of argument.
Right machine or no charge
Wrong or unusable iron means a full release, not a fight.
If the machine that shows up isn't the make, model, class or condition in the listing, report it in the first 24 hours. The rental is cancelled, the deposit and rental charge are released in full, and we help you source a replacement from another local owner.
Delivery window in writing
Late haul earns a credit, no-show earns a full release.
Delivery requests carry a stated window. If the machine arrives more than four hours late, the delivery fee is credited. If it doesn't arrive at all that day, the whole booking is released with nothing owed.
Breakdown response inside 4 hours
Mechanical failure stops the clock.
Report a breakdown from your booking and the clock stops at that timestamp. The owner has four hours to respond with a repair or swap. Downtime is never billed to the renter, and unresolved downtime beyond one working day releases the remaining rental days.
Deposit released in 3 business days
Held, not spent — and returned on a clock.
The refundable deposit is released within three business days of the return report. Any deduction has to be backed by the return photos and an itemised repair or fuel cost shown to both parties.
A named human on every problem
One owner of the issue, first reply in 4 hours.
Every reported issue gets a tracked ticket with a response deadline, visible to both sides. Nothing gets closed silently, and no issue is ever answered with a form letter.
Neutral dispute review
We can and do rule against the owner.
Disputes are decided on the condition reports, listing text and message record — not on who has been on the platform longer. Outcomes are written down and shared with both parties.
Verified reviews only
Ratings come from completed rentals, both directions.
Only a booking marked completed can leave a review, renters rate owners and owners rate renters, and nothing is deleted for being unflattering.
Everything stays on the platform
Off-platform side deals carry none of this.
Contact details are shared once a booking is confirmed, and bookings, payment and the rental agreement stay here. A handshake deal arranged off-platform has no locked quote, no condition reports, no deposit handling and no dispute review.
