How it works

One marketplace, two sides of the fence

Iron on the Ground connects contractors who need a machine this week with owners whose machine is sitting on the yard. No branch network, no corporate pricing — just local iron and clear terms.

Renting equipment

Step 1

Search near your jobsite

Filter by machine category, ZIP code, daily rate and whether the owner delivers. Every listing shows specs, hours and full pricing up front.

Step 2

Request your dates

Choose pickup and return dates. You see the rental subtotal, delivery estimate, and refundable security deposit before you submit anything.

Step 3

Owner confirms

The owner reviews your request and approves or declines. Once approved you coordinate pickup or delivery and get to work.

Listing your equipment

Step 1

List the machine

Add make, model, year, hours, specs and photos. Set a daily rate, an optional monthly rate, and a refundable deposit.

Step 2

Choose how it moves

Pickup only, or offer delivery with a per-mile rate and a radius you're willing to travel.

Step 3

Approve and get paid

You approve each request. Iron on the Ground keeps a 12% marketplace fee and the rest of the rental is yours.

Security deposit

Each owner sets a refundable deposit on their listing. It is returned after the machine comes back in the same condition it left in.

Coverage

Equipment is owned and insured by the listing owner. Renters should confirm their own general liability and rented-equipment coverage before pickup.
